The Golf de Pals, designed by the British F.W. Hawtree built in an immense pine forest in front of the white sand beach of Pals is a route capable of enthusing all kinds of players from the least experienced to the most experienced.
The Golf de Pals was based in 1972, with the XLVI Open of Spain dispute, of the first European Professional Circuit trial.
Since then, he has hosted amateurs and professionals from all over the world who have been able to enjoy the oldest field of the Costa Brava in their 50 years of history.
The first holes are rather short, with narrow streets, lightweight dogleg, deep bunkers protecting the greens and centennial pines surrounding the fairways, require a game of great precision.
From hole 12, the holes are longer and more continental. The streets widen and greens are more generous.
The route through pars 5, nine pars 4 and four pars 3 is one of the few fields of Catalonia par 73.
Two lakes come into play on the route. At hole 8 the water appears at the height of the second blow and follow the Fairway until it reaches the green. In hole 9 the player will have to overcome the lake to achieve a fairly flat green, with small dimensions and deep bunkers.
